Sly Fox 2017 Results
Another successful half marathon is in the books! The updated route for the Sly Fox half yesterday in St. Charles was much hillier than expected, but it was a nice challenge and pushed me far out of my comfort zone. I’m always impressed and inspired by the exceptional talent of people of all ages at these types of events! Plus, the weather could not have been more perfect—sunny, cool, and minimal wind! It was an all-around amazing morning, and I would highly recommend this event to runners in the future!
Rob ran the 10K (6.2 miles) yesterday in a speedy 44:58, placing an impressive 9th of 268 finishers. He constantly inspires me with his talents, and I am so proud of him and his determination! I am looking forward to more races with him in the future.
For the half, I clocked in at 1:52:13, placing 137th of 500 finishers. Though far from my PR (personal record) time, I was quite pleased with my overall performance in this race. I must give a shout-out to the others in our group who both finished in the Top 45 overall! Great job, guys!
