Chocolate Covered Strawberry Parfait


It’s Friday!!! We made it! I am especially looking forward to the weekend because I am helping host a drive-by baby shower for my sister-in-law Amy! She and her husband Marcus are expecting twins this summer! Though COVID-19 put a big wrench in our baby shower plans, it is still going to be an extra special day. We will be practicing social distancing for safety. It will be a memorable day that everyone will remember in the years to come.

Today, I am sharing my fifth and final Greek yogurt parfait (for now anyway). I still am not tired of them, but all good things must come to an end. I am extra excited about my last parfait. This because it involves chocolate and represents one of my favorite treats – chocolate covered strawberries. This recipe uses mini chocolate chips, fresh strawberries, and a little strawberry jam for extra sweetness to counter the tartness of the plain Greek yogurt. The layers on this one are especially beautiful and the flavor has high appeal to adults and children alike!

I am keeping today’s post fairly short, but I hope you have enjoyed this mini series. Please let me know if you try any of these recipes or came up with a parfait of your own! They really are an easy way to make your breakfast routine more exciting. The base ingredients are also full of nutrients, especially the fruit and plain Greek yogurt. The chocolate and jam improves the taste and increases enjoyment. This is an important aspect of eating that we must not ignore.

Chocolate Covered Strawberry Parfait


Feel free to adjust the ratios for you liking and nutrition needs.


½ cup chopped strawberries

3/4 cup plain whole fat Greek yogurt

1 Tbsp mini chocolate chips

2 tsp strawberry jam


In a small stemless wineglass or bowl, layer the Greek yogurt, chopped strawberries, and mini chocolate chips. Top with strawberry jam.
